A CHATSWOOD car park will be the site of the biggest council-owned solar farm in Australia. Willoughby Council has commissioned Solgen Energy to install 140 solar panels across the roof of its six-storey Albert Avenue car park, leased to Westfield.
Southport Parklands
The recently finished Gold Coast City Councils Broadwater Parklands at Southport is home to 255 photovoltaic solar cells positioned on top of a series of shade structures generate energy for the site, significantly reducing the parklands reliance on fossil fuel generated electricity from the grid.
